Strat-X community

The joy of playing games.  Wherein lies its essence?

I believe it is simply
the joy of communicating with others.

Of course, as it is a game with winners and losers, there is always the glee of winning and the displeasure of losing.

But with this game Strat-X, the personality and state of mind of the player comes out lucidly on the board.

So that it is beyond merely the joy of winning.

There is also the joy of interacting through competition.

Also, as long each player knows the rules,
people of even differing language can interact with one another through the game.

Social status is of no importance here.
All people here are equal.
Social rank, fame, and wealth have no place here. 
Nor do nationality, race, ideology or political tendency.

All you have to do is act like a child and play and interact. Such a place is not easily found.

It is for this reason that the Strat-X international Society wishes to provide such a place.

We wish to bring everyone throughout the world together though such things as online gaming circles.

Games such as Chess is ancient games evolved over time, and the ability to play them is even considered by many an intellectual asset.

Strat-X, then, is the game of strategy of the modern age.

The Strat-X International society prays that weapons disappear altogether from this world,
and that war disappears
altogether from the face of the planet.

The best thing for this to happen would be for the defense industry to disappear, along with national borders.

In this day and age, wouldn't it be so much nicer, if t he world leaders could decide on matters of state, not by attacking one another with military machinery, but by playing Strat-X?
